How to Create and Send a Whatsapp Broadcast?

Step 1: Open the Broadcasts Section

  • Navigate to Broadcasts in your Flowcart dashboard.
  • Confirm the correct shop is selected.

Step 2: Pick a Template

  • Select a previously approved Meta template.
  • The body and footer will auto-populate.

Step 3: Add Header Media

  • Re-upload the same image, video, or document used in the original template.
  • Ensure the format and file size match the template approval.

Step 4: Configure Buttons

You can add up to three buttons:

  • URL: Direct customers to a webpage, catalog, or form.
  • Post Notification / Pause: Allow customers to pause or unpause alerts.
    • Example: Pause for 2 weeks, pause forever, or unpause anytime.
  • Custom Action: Trigger a display message or automated workflow.
    • Example: “Thanks, alerts paused.”

Optional:

  • Add a “WhatsApp Me” or catalog link in the display message to bring users back into chat.

Step 5: Cart from Button (Optional)

  • Enable Recommended Cart to auto-build carts based on order history.
  • Or pre-define specific products and quantities (e.g., 10 onions).
  • Verify the correct shop is selected so the right catalog loads.

Step 6: Schedule Your Broadcast

  • Choose Send Now or Schedule for Later.
  • Timezone adjusts automatically.
  • Use throttling for large sends to maintain deliverability.

Step 7: Select Your Audience

  • Pick from:
    • Shop Users
    • Area Tags
    • Dynamic Segments
    • CSV Uploads

Step 8: Test & Send

  • Send a Test Broadcast to yourself to confirm media, buttons, and actions.
  • Click Send to Users to launch.
  • The campaign status will show as pending, scheduled, or sent.
